Welcome to the home of The Funky Hen - Secret Boutique. A completely new way to shop!
Once upon a time, I used to go shopping for clothes, and I absolutely hated it!

Some sizes didn’t work for me, with size 20 clothes modelled by size 10 willowy models, sales
assistants telling me I looked lovely in everything I tried on...and don’t get me started about the
changing rooms!

Mirrors are positioned at every angle, intensifying my insecurity in my underwear. The bright lights
and ill-fitting door curtains only add to the discomfort.

So we decided to try to change all that.

It all started with 'just a rail' of clothes to sell alongside my 'craft makes'. One size and fabulous,
affordable styles.

My Husband Chris and I work as a team to make The Funky Hen happen. He supports me hugely, and I couldn’t do it without him.


He acts as a driver, salesperson at events, postman, unpacker and everything else behind the scenes!

Many women dislike clothes shopping because they struggle to find the right colour, style, or size.
Based on our experience, high street shops are not comfortable places to shop. We want to change all of that! Offering a relaxed and pressure free environment for people to shop to their hearts content.

We select and personally order all stock to consistently ensure the high quality that we have
become accustomed to.

We also offer guidance on fit and suggest alternative styles or colours that may better complement any shape.

The Horam Emporium

We have a little corner packed full of a range of items. Dresses, tops, trousers, bags, scarves and jewellery. The emporium is open 6 days a week with a lovely cafe We are there once a week and the day can vary (you can check with us which day!)
